Jo Koy is still single after breaking up with Chelsea Handler. The comedian has had a lot going on, career-wise, since announcing the split. His movie, Easter Sunday, premiered in July 2022, and his latest standup special, Jo Koy: Live From The Forum, dropped on Netflix in September 2022.
The subsequent press tour for both projects has given Jo plenty of opportunities to address his relationship status. He's kept his comments on the breakup short and sweet.
He's only spoken highly of Chelsea and their time together and seems optimistic about the potential to find a love like the one they shared again someday. Jo said that the love between the two comedians continues while the relationship is over.
He doesn't seem to be in a rush to find a new girlfriend. Although, he was spotted canoodling with a mystery brunette at the end of September. The two were seen kissing in a coffee shop before lying together on a picnic blanket outside in Los Angeles. They have yet to be spotted together again.

Jo has been open when talking about where he and his ex, Chelsea Handler, stand. When speaking with Entertainment Tonight, he said the transition back into a friendship with Chelsea was going great. They had always been friends, so going back to being friends was easy for them.
Talking about what the future holds for their friendship, Jo said, "We're great friends, and that's how it will always be. I'll always champion for her, and she'll always champion for me -- and we're gonna win, everyone wins."
It's no surprise Jo has been able to handle the split so amicably, as he has a beautiful relationship with his ex-wife and the mother of his son Angie King. During the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, Angie invited Jo to live on the same property as she and their son so they could all be together.
He told Kelly Clarkson during an appearance on her talk show that he hopes to be an example for how his son handles his future relationships. By maintaining healthy and strong relationships with his exes, he can encourage his son to do the same thing. Kelly Clarkson, who pays her ex-husband $200,000 a month in spousal support, emphasized how much she appreciated Jo's healthy outlook on divorce and separation.
In a 2020 interview with Windy City LIVE, Jo explained how lucky he was to have the relationship he does with his ex. Talking about their divorce, he said it was hard initially but got easier over time. "The older we got, we understood that we're best friends, and this is the best thing we could have done for our kid. He's so happy because of it," said Jo.

Fans were initially optimistic about the chances of Jo and Chelsea rekindling their relationship. With so much love still present between the two, surely they could figure out a way to make their relationship work. But the door is closed on this chapter of the couple's time together.

Without elaborating on precisely what the crossroad was, Chelsea said she couldn't bend to meet the needs of Jo. With that, she realized the relationship could go no further and ended things.
As sad as it is to see a relationship end, Chelsea and Jo seem to be taking the breakup in stride. Chelsea emphasized her optimism when talking about the future for herself. "I've changed so much, and my love was so big that it just blew me open. And as painful as the ending of something like that is, I'm so well-versed in therapy and understanding that every door shutting is a new beginning, and I do believe it," said the comedian.
